What kind of wax and wicks do you use in your candles?
Moss St. candles are made from natural, soy wax and lead-free cotton wicks for a longer, cleaner and environmentally friendly burn.
Do I need to trim the wicks?
Yes. We advise that you trim the wicks to 5mm and ensure they're upright prior to each new burn.
How long will a Moss St. Candle burn for?
We aim to ensure all of our candles are as long lasting as possible however burn times do vary based on a variety of factors including candle maintenance, the length of each continuous burn time, candle placement and the age of the candle. To get the most out of your candles we always advise that you follow the enclosed burning instructions. In ideal conditions, 320g candles may burn for up to 70hrs.
Why is there black residue on the inside of my candle glass?
Black residue can appear on the inside glass of a candle if the wicks are too long and have not been trimmed between burning. Always ensure your candle wicks are trimmed to 5mm before each burn. Black residue can easily be removed from the glass with a damp paper towel or cloth.
Why are there bubbles or air pockets in my candle?
All of our candles are hand-poured into their glass vessels as liquid wax, so when they are first poured the wax fully sticks to the interior of the glass. When temperatures change, the wax and glass expand and contract at different rates, making it look like there is wax missing. This is just an illusion! This is common in all glass candles and is known as ‘pull away’ (as the wax contracts/pulls away from the glass). We can assure you it does not affect the candle, or the burn time in any way. In fact, usually when you light the candle, the wax will warm up and expand back into place.

Your custom designed, highly polished Moss St. glass can now be used as a gorgeous keepsake for a multitude of purposes in your home, including; storage for your bathroom needs, a flower pot, or as a bedroom accessory to keep jewellery in.
How long will a Moss St. Diffuser last?
An opened 275ml Diffuser will last up to 3-4 months. For best performance, we encourage you to refer to the safety & care instructions on the back of the box the diffuser came in.
Why does the room diffuser liquid discolour when opened?
The room diffuser liquid may change colour after it has been opened. Please note, this is completely normal - the fragrance in the diffuser reacts with the oxygen in the air to produce a slight colour variation. Direct sunlight can also contribute to a colour change, so please ensure your room diffuser is kept out of direct sunlight, heat and drafts.
